Having completed a summer tour of 50 US cities as part of the 2010 Van's Warped Tour these talented gals have recently been to Los Angeles several times for writing with some of LA's most respected power pop writers, put out a special Christmas CD and Video and have now hit the road again this winter with label mates Queen's Club.
I talked with one of their Managers last fall and presented my idea of partnering with the girls to sell some items from their personal closets on the OMB Store Site with 100% of the proceeds of these sales going to their favorite Charity. They loved the idea and "A Piece of Poema" was in the works.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Poema's Fans to be able to purchase a personal piece of the girls clothing which has been worn either Onstage, Video Shoots or Photo Shoots while also contributing to a cause that is very close to the girl's hearts. Shealeen and Elle chose Exodus Cry an organization and ministry devoted to educating folks and putting an end to Human Trafficking and Slavery.
Beginning Feb. 1st which is National Freedom Day thru Feb. 28th, each week OMB will post 5 items on the store site, we will give the Fans a hint as to where they can find these pieces! Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Sweaters, Boots, Shoes and Belts are among the Poema pieces that will be featured.
We will also hold a special Give-Away during the event comprised of a Handmade Poema T-shirt, a October Moon Boutique T-shirt, a pair of Steve Madden Sunglasses and a cute Conductor Style Cap by Hg.
